"IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK. IN OUR WORLD, PMS STANDS FOR PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT"

Your personal mission statement - a place where core values and personal whys marry together. Having a PMS helps to provide a daily reminder of those things that are of key importance to you, and it keeps you focused.

Crafting a PMS is a very personal exercise, so take your time.  This is an important step as we start to work together on your new life filled with excitement and passion.  A life focused on your personal whys.  Think of the reason that many successful business ventures take the time to do this.  A clear vision for the company helps on the path to success by defining “why” the company exists in the first place.  Shouldn’t this same principle apply to your own life?  If you clearly identify what’s important to you, why not have it written down so that you can re-read it often and check in on your progress? Wouldn’t this be a smart decision?

To help you along, we got permission from some of our staff and students to share what they developed.  Here are a few examples.

Example a.

To find happiness, fulfillment, and value in living, I will seek out and experience all of the pleasures and joys that life has to offer. My core values are not limitations restraining me on this quest for fun. Rather, they provide a framework for identifying, pursuing, and achieving those pleasures that last the longest and are the most satisfying. The greatest joy of all is being worthy of the respect and admiration of family, friends, and business associates.

Example b.

In everything that I do – I will be proactive, a self-starting individual who takes action, instead of being acted upon.  My daily habits and life decisions will be made in alignment with core personal values – Security, Family, Health, Growth, and Freedom.  I will continue to prioritize time over money.

I will focus on activities that excite me

I will live life with passion

I will work to CREATE, EDUCATE, EXPLORE
